Deas Island sits between arms of the Fraser, with grass, picnics, and a few historic cottages. Paths are flat. You can see large ships. It suits a morning by the river when you do not want the beach. Cottage interiors are not open every day. Summer has shade, and fall is for looking at the river. Ladner village is the lunch connection.
