Simon Fraser University sits on Burnaby Mountain. The park on the east side has large wooden play structures, and the viewpoint looks over the inlet, the mountains, and the port. Clear days in September and October are especially sharp. You can walk through the academic quadrangle and then come back to the playground. It is colder up here than in the city. Use visitor parking and obey the lines.
