Cultus Lake is relatively warm and is the centre of a Chilliwack summer. The public beach, the provincial park campground, and the waterpark are three different things. The beach is free or low-cost, and peak parking is hard. The water still needs watching. October is for walking and looking at the mountains. Swimming season is mostly over by Labour Day. The highway jams on Friday afternoons.
