新月海滩在素里最南边，沙质比很多河口滩好，退潮时特别宽。夏天适合玩沙和涉浅水，水仍然凉。村里有小餐厅和冰淇淋。黑鸟嘴 Blackie Spit 就在旁边，是泥滩和草地，观鸟好，挖沙不如主海滩。涨潮会很快淹没泥滩，看潮汐再往外走。
Crescent Beach is in southwest Surrey. The sand is better than many river beaches, and it gets very wide at low tide. Summer is for sand and wading. The water is still cold. The village has small restaurants and ice cream. Blackie Spit, next door, is mudflat and grass. It is better for birds than for digging. The tide can cover the flat quickly.
