Irving House is one of the oldest houses in British Columbia still on its original site, run by the New Westminster Museum. Open hours are limited, often a few hours on weekends, and on weekdays you may only see the outside. The rooms are Victorian, which suits a child who wants the story. Admission is free or low. Check the museum. The hill is steep. If it is closed, give the time to Queen's Park.
