Horseshoe Bay is the ferry port for Nanaimo, the Sunshine Coast, and Bowen Island. Even if you do not board, watching a large ship turn is the sight. Fish and chips by the terminal is the classic West Vancouver family meal. The village is small. Weekends are busy with people and cars. If you are going to Bowen, check the sailing first, then decide whether to eat before or after.
